Program OverviewAuto Tech

Are you a team player, self-motivated, mathematical, scientific, a problem-solver, persistent? Can you follow instructions, focus, concentrate, understand math and physics, lift heavy loads? Would you like to work with a coordinated team, work independently, work with precision tools, troubleshoot problems, work on a variety of vehicles?

Anyone who has had car trouble knows the value of a skilled auto technician. The ability to diagnose problems with engines as well as mechanical or electrical systems comes from having a sharp, analytical mind. The satisfaction of implementing the needed repairs makes this career challenging, stimulating and financially rewarding. Students in the Automotive Technology program work with up-to-date equipment on late-model cars as they learn the skills necessary to become ASE certified technicians. Internship possibilities with the Automotive Youth Educational Systems (AYES) can give the WarrenTech student both experience and a boost into the workforce. This Automotive Technology program is NATEF Certified.
