Points of Pride


  • In 2018-19, Warren Tech students earned 12,899 free college credits from Red Rocks Community College (like, $1.9 million dollars worth).
  • Attendance was at 93% (WTC) and 94% (WTN) in 2018-19. Students want to be at Warren Tech.
  • Students earned 1,062 industry certifications and completed internship and apprenticeship experiences with industry partners in 2018-19.

Here's what we're accomplishing this year!

August 2019

  • 1,500 juniors and seniors from 37 high schools began their school year at Warren Tech.
  • Culinary Arts makes Warren Tech one of the first schools in the country to launch the ProStart 3 curriculum.

February 2020

  • Warren Tech IDEA Group hosted their annual Creative Jam, with the following teams as winners: 1st place - Team XD3.0, 2nd place - Our Outback, 3rd place - Oscar Mayer Fan Club, and Technical Achievement - Working Title.
  • Warren Tech Auto Technology students participated in their Skills USA competitions. For Maintenance and Light Repair, 1st place was Brenden Larson, 2nd place was Colton Green, and 3rd place was Lane Sheriff. In the Automotive Technology category, John Bauer placed 1st, David Keeth 2nd, and Austin Foulke, 3rd.
  • In the Building Trades Skills USA competition, Mark Frates, Wes Saul, Connor Walklett and Sebastian Plonskie placed 2nd in the Teamworks competition. Brenden Schrader placed first in carpentry and AJ Zomara placed third in Carpentry. Lizbet Chavez placed first in masonry, and Gabriella Chavez-Courtney placed first in Architectural Drafting.
  • In the Auto Custom and Collision Skills USA competition, Grace Link placed 1st in estimating. In collision, Todd Pease placed 1st, Kevin Perez, 2nd, and John Hargadon, 3rd. For refinishing, Josh Shepard placed first, Nevaeh Bondi placed 2nd, and Gage Denoyer placed 3rd.
  • STEM students pitched designs for the ISS and other space craft to NASA astronauts for the NASA HUNCH competition.
  • Cosmetology: Esthetics, Hairstyling, and Nails competed in the Fantasy competition, designing beautiful, unique looks. 
  • Warren Tech STEM was awarded the Innovation Grant for the Hydrogen Fuel Cell, Urban Concept Vehicle. Student Bella Jeambey wrote the awarded grant.

March 2020

  • Graphic Design & Digital Photography students placed as winners of the Never Summer Industries snowboard design competition. They are: Logan Wicke (Factory Vote Winner); Harley Cohen (Instagram Popular Vote Winner); Gracie Gish (Office Vote Winner).
  • Computer Science/CyberSecurity students completed the first ever Warren Tech escape room challenge.
  • Criminal Justice students earned nine medals at the state Mock Trial competition, including: Best witness for their team: Oleg Soloviov,  Hunter Nicholas, Ella Young; Best Attorney for their team, Morgan Johnson, Joana Hernandez,  Kay Kondziolka, Gabbie Davis,  Maddie Pope.
  • Sports Medicine students placed in the top ten at the state HOSA (Future Health Professionals) competition. They were: Sarah Cooper, Charley Hellums, Jocelyn Martinez, Paige Sullivan, Brianna Tucker, Morgan Skrbina, and Jessica Percival.
  • Intro to Medical Assisting students placed at the state HOSA (Future Health Professionals) competition: Justice Snow - Medical Assisting, 2nd place; Liam Lancaster - Pharmacology, 1st place; Walker Knight - Prepared Speaking, 2nd place; Gisell Escobar - Extemporaneous Health Poster, 7th Place; Estrella Rocha -  Bio Med: 9th place, Nutrition 4th place; Manda Campbell and Walker Knight - CPR/First Aid , 9th place; Adaleine Giles, Charlize Haynes, Marian Lopez and Charlotte Moran - Public Service Announcement,  9th place; Shannon Jones - Clinical Nursing, 6th place; Davis Meyer - Biomedical Laboratory Science , 6th place; Mark Winberg - Epidemiology, 5th Place.

  • Warren Tech STEM Lakewood teacher, Matt Brown, and his daughter, Amelia, were featured on 9News for making face shield headbands for medical professionals out of their 3-D printer to fight COVID-19.
