Bill Heldman has worked at Warren Tech as the Computer Science and Cybersecurity Instructor for the past 13 years.  After a successful career in IT (Information Technology), as a mainframe and PC programmer with Xcel Energy, and a variety of private and public-sector positions in increasingly responsible roles, Mr. Heldman decided he wanted to give back to the community.  Because of this desire, he chose to work with students at Warren Tech. He loves to share his expertise in IT with students that show interest in deep technologies that can propel them into powerful and rewarding careers in the industry.

Mr. Heldman is an accomplished author, having been the sole author, co-author or contract writer of 14 study guides for Microsoft, CompTIA and Adobe certifications. He has been awarded the 2004 Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) award, earned a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) in 1994 and was a contributor on the CDE Computer Science standards committee. He is currently in the America Achieves Colorado Educator Fellowship program.  Mr. Heldman holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Regis University, and a Ph.D. in Biblical Studies from Louisiana Baptist University.

During his free time, you might find Mr. Heldman studying up on technical topics for his classes, and spiritual topics with his wife of 40 years. He also enjoys watching shows such as “The Crown” and “The Missing” as well as catching a good movie, although he hasn’t found many worth watching recently.  He has a miniature Yorkie named minnie and is father to three grown children and grandfather of two.
