FORENSIC SCIENCE 🧬

Have you always wondered what it would be like to be a CSI investigator? Do you have a strong curiosity about crime-scene analysis? Want to be involved in criminal investigations? Are you detail-oriented, able to multitask, work quickly and efficiently? Can you keep accurate records?

Forensic Science explores the history of forensic science, crime scene investigation methods, and evidence analysis. Students will analyze many types of evidence, including, but not limited to, fingerprints, hairs, fibers, fire debris, soil, pollen, drugs, and blood/DNA. Many forensic disciplines are covered such as physical evidence analysis, trace evidence analysis, forensic pathology, forensic anthropology, and wildlife forensics. Skills include laboratory management and safety, laboratory operations, chain of custody, dissection of organs, examination of skeletal remains, genetics, fingerprint analysis, and technical writing.

Forensic Science provides a strong foundation for students who would like to continue a bachelor’s and/or graduate degree in specialized branches of forensic science, as well as those who wish to pursue more general studies.
